Spectacular Scotland. π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
SPECTACULAR SCOTLAND is a "Nation for the Nations"; "The LAND of the BOOK"; rated one of the most beautiful nations in the world, along with Switzerland and New Zealand.
Well, my own journey from Western India to Western Europe as a Christian Missionary is a fascinating story. I am a Malayali by birth, Indian by race, In Christ by grace, In Global Missions by choice, and in Scotland by chance! Actually, in hindsight it looks like Divine Providence. It cannot be a coincidence or happenstance. I don't believe in fate or luck, but in a God who has a Master Plan and a unique blueprint for every one of us. My times are in His hands.
Maybe, it's payback time! My Scottish heroes include the likes of John Knox, Samuel Rutherford, Robert Murray McCheyne, David Livingstone and Eric Liddel. Many have not even heard of Claudius Buchanan, the Scot who contributed to the Bible in my mother tongue MalayalaM (now read it backwards!) Many left the shores of Great Britain and in crossing the seas engaged in mission to the ends of the earth. Many other Scottish sons and daughters stayed back, but on seeing the cross daily were global "Influencers" back then, even when we were not using the word the way we do now. Scotland's contributions to the world is undeniable and can't be ignored. Today, many people are sent by God to this mission field. We have gloriously missed it and are sincerely mistaken if we think otherwise. Our cities are harvest fields. So, let's welcome the migrants, the foreigners among us with open arms, without any pride and prejudice.
It is also said that in the entire Human History of the world as we know it, there are only three countries that have actually made a covenant with God Almighty: Israel, Switzerland and Scotland. The era of the Covenanters is not over because covenants are eternal in nature. Now, Scotland's flag is known as the Saltaire, with roots in the patron saint St. Andrews and the St. Andrews Cross.π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
In 1967, a lady called Jean Darnall had a vision of an end time revival and she referred to it as "Fires from the North." The legacy of the Hebrides revival is worth remembering. So, I boldly declare this day: Like it or not, believe it or not, agree with me or not... The fires π₯ π₯ π₯ of revival begins in the Highlands of Scotland and will flow like volcanic lava π to the rest of the United Kingdom like rivers, before flooding Europe, for the glory of Jesus. Get ready for what God is about to do right here, right now. Here's a gentle reminder that faith is not believing that God can, it is believing that He will.
However, over the recent years, somehow we have changed the timeless, eternal Message of the Book; instead of allowing the Message to change us! So, today I unashamedly carry the Book, the Bible, and give a Clarion Call to this nation to get back to God, back to it's knees, back to the Word, and thereby usher in the greatest harvest and an unprecedented revival the world has ever seen or heard.
"Give me Scotland or I die." - John Knox (1510-1572)
"The Covenants, the covenants shall yet be Scotland's reviving!" - James Guthrie (1620-1665)
"He will return to the, O Scotland, and there shall be as glorious days in thee... O Scotland, as ever was in the world." - Alexander Peden (1626-1686)
Just As I Am,
